Soupy's 1st Generation Kawasaki Ninja 500 Lowering Links (1987 - 1993)
Included are a pair of our 1st Gen Kawasaki Ninja 500-Specific Double Style Lowering Links and usage instructions.
Lower the tail of your 1st Generation Kawasaki Ninja 500 quickly and easily!
These turnbuckle style lowering links for the 1987-1993 Ninja 500 are infinitely adjustable between stock height and lowered 4 inches. No need to remove bolts and disassemble the rear suspension everytime you raise or lower your bike! Just loosen the nuts and rotate the center portion of each link the same amount. You do not have to remove bolts and find a way to hold the bike up while you are doing it! The center hex body is gold zinc plated steel or stainless steel, NOT aluminum. The ends of the 1st generation lowering links have a 1/2" thread and are black oxided steel on one end and zinc coated with a teflon bearing on the other, NOT aluminum. The ends of the 2nd generation lowering links are black oxided steel both ends. Aluminum threads DO NOT last and are dangerous! We manufacture, assemble, market and sell these links...thats why we offer them at such a great price!
Our links are the same thickness as the stock links. That means your stock bolts and nuts are retained and the locking element of the nuts will still be engaged. Some of our competition use a thicker than stock link and the locking element is no longer engaged. DANGEROUS!!
Keep in mind that motorcycles lowered 1 inch or more should utilize our adjustable kickstand to maintain the required lean angle when parked. Combo kits are available at a discounted price. Click here for our Adjustable Kickstands.
